- Step 1.Beef Tataki: Finely cut the onion and garlic.
- Step 2.Add all ingredients except the beef to a pan and bring to a boil.
- Step 3.Taste, adjust seasoning, then let the marinade cool in the fridge.
- Step 4.Sear the beef on all sides.
- Step 5.Place the beef in the cooled marinade for a few hours or overnight (best for flavor).
- Step 6.Pickled Veggies: Add all ingredients except veggies to a large pan and bring to a boil.
- Step 7.Meanwhile, cut your veggies.
- Step 8.Place veggies in jars or containers.
- Step 9.Pour the hot pickle liquid over them.
- Step 10.Optional: boil veggies briefly in the liquid first.
- Step 11.Chill at least 24 hrs (or serve sooner if pre-boiled).
- Step 12.Penut Cremé: Mix everything until you get a smooth, creamy sauce.
- Step 13.Plating Time: Slice the beef nice and thin.
- Step 14.Add salad + pickled veggies.
- Step 15.Finish with peanut crème, roasted sesame seeds, roasted nuts, olive oil, fine onion, spring onion or chives.
