- Step 1.1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 120–140 °C (low heat ensures a smooth custard).
- Step 2.2. Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a mixing bowl, lightly beat together:

- Step 5.Mix gently — do not overwhisk.
- Step 6.3. Heat the Cream & Milk: Combine cream and milk in a saucepan.
- Step 7.Heat on low, stirring occasionally, until it just begins to simmer.

- Step 9.Add vanilla, cinnamon, or other flavorings and allow to infuse briefly.
- Step 10.4. Combine Mixtures: Slowly pour the warm cream mixture into the egg mixture while stirring continuously until fully combined.
- Step 11.5. Thicken the Custard: Transfer mixture to a double boiler.
